What is AME?

AME stands for Aruba Meets Europe and is Aruba's Bi-Annual Tourism Conference for the European market and is one of the most important tourist showcases in the Caribbean. During AME, different sessions are held with renowned speakers, Aruba product improvement presentations are given and a business panel between the Aruba and European tourism industry is held.

Due to the current situation, we will have two important changes: AME will be fully digital and we will open the first day of our conference to travel agents and members of the educational tourism community in the region.

Aruba has been working on implementing the best safety, health and cleaning protocols to ensure the well-being of visitors and the local community in the face of the COVID-19 crisis. In accordance with the recommendations of the WHO and the Department of Public Health, new travel requirements were established now that the island gradually opened its borders to Bonaire, Curaçao, Canada, Europe, and the United States. Soon borders will open for Latin America as well!

Once visitors are on the island, they can enjoy various activities by maintaining social distancing and following the security protocols that each establishment manages. To ensure that hotels, tour operators, restaurants, stores and other establishments on the island comply with security protocols, they must be certified with the Aruba Health & Happiness Code seal.

Security has always been one of the most important pillars for Aruba. And in the face of the pandemic, the island has worked even harder to ensure the well-being of all. This and other reasons are what make Aruba the Happiest Island in the Caribbean.
